Brgy. Montelago

Montelago

Brgy. Montelago is a place endowed with such natural beauty. Enchanting lake, formidable mountains, the freshest seafoods and bountiful fruits. But the most you could find here is the cosiderable warmth from hardworking and hospitable people.

The place is gifted with a Natural Hot Springs that led the national government in declaring it a Tourist Resort.

Montelago is composed of 7 sitios namely Bangbang (Maliit), Bangbang (Malaki), Tapat Pulo, Pungao (Proper), Balangibang, Malawaan and Tigbao. Its primary source of income is Agriculture (Rice Farming, Fishing, Copra, Citrus Plantation and the likes). It has 7 Catholic Chapels and 2 churches of Iglesia ni Cristo. Montelago Elementary School and Tigbao Elementary School are Montelago’s only educational institutions. It has produced lots of successful Montelagenos locally and abroad.
