The daily dose of online activity would never be complete without its share of social networking activities. It brings us hope in finding old friends, acquaintances, old places we have lived, streets we grew up on, schools we attended, people and places we fell in love with.
Social networking sites such as Facebook led us to rekindle our interest in our common birthplace, our very own Naujan. Arvel Malubag’s funny regular status updates tickle Naujeños all over the globe and eventually led us to relive the challenging, simple yet fun-filled life in our small town in Oriental Mindoro.
The page of Naujan Bayang Minamahal also brought us Naujeños together by constantly renewing the sense of brotherhood among the locals and those of us who have traveled the earth yet still consider Naujan our home.
And every time we interact on the common walls, it’s ultimately bringing us back; begging, enticing, seducing us to come back to the place of our childhood, our very own Naujan.
The advent of social networking sites have revolutionized how people connect. And in the case of this site, on how we RECONNECT. There lies our purpose, to reconnect Naujeños all over the globe. And who knows, maybe in the process we would be able to do something more than just that.
Because after all, we are forever Naujeños.
Special thanks to Arvel Malubag, Sherwin Anyayahan and former Mayor Nelson B. Melgar for the inputs and initial feedback in putting up this site.
